An intensive, residential workshop at a stunning riverside location in the heart of Kipling country. There are comprehensive botanical art sessions and guided drives and walks into the surrounding forest with trained naturalists.

Outpost 12 is located on the banks of the Banjar river, which flows through the tropical deciduous forest and grasslands of Kanha.

Forays into the forest for drives and walks with naturalists are followed by studio sessions where everyone explores different mediums like water colour, pen and pencil.

The river ebbs and flows depending on the rains; July usually finds it in full form.
The view from the studio is both peaceful and dramatic.

A forest bloom. This is the fragrant Poniyabillo flower that changes to a deep yellow.

Some of the flora one is likely to see in the surroundings.
