Hi, welcome to my website. It’s still a work in process, just as is most of my art, as botanical painting is a fairly long and patient process. Some paintings take a week, some take months.  And if I have to follow a plant through its flowering/fruiting/ leafing cycle, then it could take a year!

I painted plants almost as soon as I could write, but somehow never realised I could make a career of it. So I studied history and graphic design, and worked as a publications designer for many years. Though I  eventually arrived at botanical painting by a very roundabout route, it is now an obsession -- a very happy one that I am glad to share with you.

In the past five years I have painted the unique flora of the Thar desert, and at present I am working on native tree species in Central India. I also conduct several annual workshops, and will be offering tutorials online soon.
